Role: Marketing Department Assistant

Objective: Handle all marketing initiatives for the department and work closely with faculty and advisory boards to enhance the program.

Process:

  • Managed department social media pages

  • Updated department website and manage job postings

  • Interviewed and conducted press releases for Pamplin alumni, faculty, and students

  • Consulted with the Marketing Advisory Board for strategic decisions

    • Planned bi-annual conference with a panel, mentoring, and other events

  • Created campaigns for department and promote courses, minors, concentrations, and more.

  • Rebranded VT MKTG website

  • Attended all prospective student events on behalf of the Marketing Department

Outcome:

  • Successful mentorship program had one of the highest attendance rates for Marketing Advisory Board events

    • Created a logo that was promoted around campus on posters and campus tv’s

  • Increased awareness and engagement on social media
