Enchanted Fashion Show

Role: Marketing Coordinator

Objective: Spread awareness and drive marketing initiatives for Fashion Merchandise Design Society’s annual Spring fashion show.

Process:

  • Created and ran a social media account with various campaigns leading up to the show @enchantedfashionshow.

  • Created graphics for the event

    • Stager, model, beauty artists and designer applications

  • Photograph and market students’ designs

  • Reach out and communicate with store owners in the Blacksburg area to serve as vendors at our fashion show.

  • Host percentage nights to fundraise for the event

  • Reach out to “special guests” at the show including: 2018 Miss Virginia: Ashley Vollrath, Fashion Blogger: Amanda Marshall and Fashion Blogger: Sunny Murthy

  • Created a promo video for the event

  • Organized PR practices to spread awareness; Coordinators appeared on @daytimeblueridge morning talkshow.

  • Conducted a social media giveaway: Free tickets

    • Over 50 participants

Results:

  • Over 500 attendees for the fashion show event

  • Consisted of 32 student designers, 33 student models, 4 local boutiques, and 3 vendors

  • Sold out show
